ToT for Medical Officers working in FHC

Workshop on Antimicrobial Resistance organized by State Health Systems Resource Centre-Kerala

A State based workshop on Antimicrobial Resistance was conducted by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Kerala, Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram on October 17.2017. Smt.K.K Shailaja, Hon. Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Social Justice -Kerala inaugurated the workshop. In connection with this, the Hon. Minister conducted a press meet after the inauguration. According to the scheduled programme the Keynote address was delivered by Sri. Rajeev Sadanandan, Additional Chief Secretary (H& FW) to the government. Around 80 participants including representatives from WHO country office, NCDC, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Microbiology Departments of all Medical Colleges and other Departments like Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, AYUSH also attend the workshop.

Bill and Melinda gates foundation visits UHC primary care pilot sites

Delegation of senior representatives from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation visited SHSRCK to understand the UHC primary care pilot project in Thiruvananthapuram district. The goal of the study visit was to learn about the initiatives taken in the pilot, challenges faced and also the lessons learnt to inform discussions and future primary care work in India.
